I love to have fun! I am very silly. A goof ball. I would like to describe myself as an ambitious millennial. A cool, down-to-earth chick. I am a wife. A mom. An educator. A woman who loves to travel, loves to eat ColdStone ice cream, and loves to eat any dish that contains Kalamata olives. But there is one thing that I love and am most passionate about—that is my faith in Jesus Christ!
Honey, I love me some Jesus! In fact, I would like to say that I am 100% crazy about Jesus! Not perfect, but I strive to become more like Jesus Christ every day. Christianity works for me because I can relate to the imperfect people described in the Bible. And yet, those same imperfect people still did amazing things for Christ. But the Bible is much more than that. The Bible tells of the greatest love story in the history of the world. The love story of how the King of Kings and Lord of Lords came down from heaven to redeem a wretched sinner like myself! Whoooooooooooo…I feel a praise coming on!
Everything about life—and I mean everything—is summed up in the Bible. I suggest if you are struggling with your faith, have questions, have doubts, or just haven’t done so already, to pick up the Bible and read it cover to cover. It has increased my faith! In fact, by the time, you get finished reading this I would have completed my goal of reading the Bible cover to cover. The experience was life changing for me.
Here in this blog, I will provide insights into some things that I have learned during my Christian journey. The priority of this blog is to give a WORD for those new to the faith, struggling with their faith, or for those who may need encouragement.
The devotionals are organized based on this W.O.R.D. format:
W-ord-the focus scripture for the devotional
O-bservation-what I learned
R-eal World Application-how the text applies to life
D-ear God-a prayer to close out the devotional.
I hope you are inspired by what you read. Please feel free to share your comments and questions throughout the site. Thank you for stopping by! Keep pressing on, my friend…Philippians 3:12-14!
P.S. Sometimes the writing for this blog may be written like a text message. LOL! Other times the language will Code Switch between Standard American English and African-American Vernacular English…cause that’s the way I like to express myself and my Dutch professor at NDM of Maryland said it was cool for me to do so, ya dig?
